A simplified print showing the stillness of a deep Canadian winter morning.
The forest with the stream running through it was a study for the larger polyptrych Serenity. It examines the character of fallen snowfall, and barenness of the land, while contrasting the density of the wooded background with the bright (white) of the foreground. The stream plays an important feature as it's used to hold the composition together.
